Why Video Content Analysis is required?

Video content analysis is the capacity of analysing the video to find out secular and territorial. It is a new technology. It is also called as VCA. It has various uses, to identify the invader, left belongings, vehicles parked in no parking, for counting purpose like people entering or leaving a particular area. Any behaviour that can be seen and defined on a video can be identified and an action raised. VCA has wide range of applications.

  • For transport
  • For face detection
  • For speed detection
  • For people counting
  • For gender counting
  • For camera checking
  • For situation analysis
  • For shape recognition
  • For safety and security
  • For smoke and fire detection
  • For people or vehicle identifying
  • For safety purpose in public area
  • For traffic and accident detection
  • For external and internal invaders
  • for automatic number plate recognition
It can also track behaviour. Person (tall or short), vehicle (large or small), object (large or small). Moving in a direction, stopped for some time, roaming for some seconds, entering or exiting a area and the exact time also. They will use special sensitive cameras and tools for this. In shops we are putting some count line in the entrance. After people crossing the count line we are counting it for IN or OUT. We are counting manually by watching the video. We can know how many people are coming to the shop. The data will be useful to measure the shop capability, to improve customer service and to increase staffing level. Arivon provides Video Content Analysis services.

2 types of VCA systems are there. Edge based VCA system (requires complex device to carry out the VCA) and central based VCA system (large width of bandwidth required). Now a day this analysis is very important.
